Ecosophical Writings

The following treatises are attempts to develop a new variant of ecological philosophy based on an integrated ontological/epistomological approach. These are offered as a philosophical foundation for the political initiative to strive for ecological harmony with the more-than-human world. They attempt to give the philosophical justification for the imperative of attaining such a relationship with our environment. They also serve to disclose and foster a motivation for this effort by providing a new vision of what human existence means.

Toward an Environmental Ethic Beyond Science and Religion

In place of the treatises that are supposed to appear on this page, this preliminary thesis provides an introduction to the philosophical direction I envision. It was originally begun with the sole idea of serving as a working document to begin gathering ideas, but has evolved gradually into a semi-adequate sketch for communicating the basis and motivation for my efforts in this area.
